So, the first RSD for The Poodle has been a rollercoaster ride already. Current stock list for Saturday is below though we’re hopefully going to find a couple of missing parcels one of which contains the Queen demos, Supergrass and some other nice items. It’s a learning curve.
What we do have is Taylor Swift (x3 only, which is more that a lot of stores in Wales, 3 of the Wicked LP, the Geddy Lee demos. I’ve ordered enough of the Saxon LP to hopefully ensure there’s one for me at the end of the day…
Obviously this isn’t a guarantee of what we’ll get in store and we’ve primarily aim at getting what our customer demographic wants, based on lists made by people in the shop wanted.
We’ve not order every RSD title, the order was bigger than we thought it would be anyway, mainly thanks to the response from customers old and new ! There’s some indicative pricing on the records included, though these are subject to change once we’re invoiced for what we’ll be allocated. I’ve also not included the number for each title we’ve ordered, though it many cases it’s more than one (and no the Taylor Swift single isn’t the highest order quantity).
The admin task for RSD hasn’t been straightforward, with orders made to 12 different distributors, each with a different deadline, most of which have now past (I’ve one more order to adjust this week).
Needless to say, none of the items in the list can be reserved, you’ll need to be in queue on the 12th April and you’ll only be allowed one copy of each record. We’ll share the arrangements for the day itself pretty soon but its a first for us and Haverfordwest and after years of cynicism (be me) I’m all in for embracing what is now an establishment event.
